Al Pacino Biography Born Alberto Pacino on April 25 1940 in New York NY, Al was educated at the High School for The Performing Arts in New York and then studied at the Herbert Berghaf Studio, also in New York. He was nominated 4 times for the Best Actor Academy Award before finally winning it in 1992 for Scent of a Woman. He's at his best in The Godfather.
