Ross says Rachel instead of Emily at their wedding. They get married anyway, and Emily puts a brave face on it until she gets him in private. She then locks herself in the bathroom at the reception. Ross, who is drunk, tries to tell her it meant nothing. Chandler and Monica are concerned that their affair will affect their friendship, so decide to stop having sex when they get back to America. Rachel wants to talk to Ross and find out his feelings for her. Monica, who is trying to get away with Chandler, tells her to leave it as Ross is married, and Ross himself, who genuinely thinks he's in love with Emily, tells Rachel it didn't mean anything. While this is going on Emily has escaped through the bathroom window, to Rachel's amusement. (She did the same thing at her wedding.) Chandler and Monica are looking for a place to have sex, but they keep getting interrupted. Rachel's in her room convinced that Ross is in love with her, then Phoebe phones. Chandler's room looks better until Joey turns up with some girl he picked up. They go to the honeymoon suite, but Ross comes in looking for Emily. They nobly stay with him until Emily's parents come for her things. Ross gets Stephen to tell Emily that he loves her and that he'll be at the airport and expecting her to be there too. Monica and Chandler's attempt to join the Mile High Club ends in failure when Joey needs reassurance from Chandler about his acting skills, having seen My Giant with his girlfriend. Back home, Phoebe is extremely pregnant and Chandler and Monica break their agreement. Ross is waiting for Emily at the airport so they can go on their honeymoon. Rachel, whose flight to New York was delayed, sees Ross and tells him he should go without her. He suggests she goes as well, as he could use a friend. Of course Rachel wants to, and just as she goes through the gate Emily arrives and gets the wrong (right)? impression.
end credits: Rachel's going to Athens on her own.
best bit: Stephen to Andrea: Why do you never go out the bloody window?
