Chandler sees Rachel coming out of the shower. In surprise she drops her towel. Phoebe has a new psychiatrist boyfriend, Roger, who analyses everyone. Joey finds out his father is having an affair with a pet mortician. Chandler hates Roger, the others say he's not bad and it's just his job to analyse people, but then he gets to work on them and soon they all hate his guts. Chandler and Joey meet Ronni, Joey's father's mistress. Joey tells his father to either break it off or tell his mother.
Wanting revenge on Chandler, Rachel sneaks into his shower but finds Joey there instead. Joey's mother turns up. She knew about the affair and accepted it because it meant that Joey Sr was a lot more caring towards her, but now she's angry with Joey for making his father tell her about it. Phoebe tells Roger that her friends don't like him. He's nasty about them and Phoebe realises she doesn't like him either, so they break up. Joey's parents go back to how it was, with Gloria knowing about Ronni but pretending she doesn't.
end credits: Joey walks in on Monica in the shower, hoping for Rachel. In retaliation, Monica goes to his flat and finds Joey Sr in the shower, who is most welcoming.
