The discussion in Central Perk is what men or women can do that the other sex can't. Chandler's going to break up with Janice, and to make it easier Phoebe offers to break up with Tony at the same time. Rachel is offered a Mercedes by her father on condition that she returns home, but she won't. Joey's ex-girlfriend Angela shows up looking so good that he wants to get back with her, but she's now with Bob. Joey gets Monica to pretend to be his girlfriend and go to dinner with Bob and Angela, by telling her Bob is Angela's brother. Ross and Rachel are going to do laundry together, but Chandler advises against taking his dirty underwear on what is technically a first date, even though Rachel doesn't know it.
Phoebe and Chandler break up with their respective partners. Chandler is annoyed that Phoebe does it so quickly and this coupled with the effects of many cups of coffee makes him poke Janice in the eye.
At the laundry a nasty woman takes Rachel's machine but Ross turns it up and, after arguing with her, gets it back. Rachel has never done her own laundry before but says that if she can do it, she feels she can do anything. She can't.
Monica finds out Bob is Angela's lover, and is about to leave, but agrees to help Joey split them up as she likes Bob. They succeed as well.
The woman at the laundry takes Rachel's trolley but inspired by Ross's confrontation she gets it back and then kisses Ross, who then almost knocks himself out on a washing-machine door.
