Adam Goldberg as Eddie
James Michael Tyler as Gunther
Chandler wants Eddie out of the apartment after finding Eddie watching him sleeping. Monica and Phoebe have read a book on empowerment, which says that all women are goddesses and that men can drain their powers. Joey goes to see his agent, but doesn't want to play cab driver #2 after the glory of having been Dr Ramoray. Rachel starts bossing Ross around having read the book. Joey is shocked at the size of his visa bill, and has an argument with Ross who suggests he take the cab driver job. Chandler finds Eddie still in the flat after he had agreed to leave. He's dehydrating fruit. Chandler gets him out. Joey goes to Central Perk to drown his sorrows and learns that Gunther was once on TV too, and his character was killed off. Rachel, Monica and Phoebe, having agreed with the book that men are the enemy, start arguing with each other. Ross apologises to Joey, who has since been to the audition (unsuccessfully as he kept mentioning his part in Days of Our Lives), for lecturing him. A lot of items that Joey bought while he had money are being taken back to cover his debts. Ross saves a ceramic dog for $200. Rachel, Monica and Phoebe make up. Chandler thinks he's seen the last of Eddie, but he appears at the window of Central Perk carrying a head. When Eddie goes back to Chandler's flat he finds the locks have changed, and Chandler and Joey (who has moved back in) pretend to have never seen him before.
end credits: Joey and Chandler have fun (?) with the ceramic dog.
