Chandler sees Joey licking a spoon and putting it back, then finds out Joey's used his toothbrush as well. Rachel and Phoebe plan on getting tattoos. Phoebe wants a lily because that's her mother's name, but Ross doesn't approve of tattoos. Monica, Ross and Richard go to Jack Geller's birthday party. The talk is all about Richard's mystery new young girlfriend in the city, and mostly insulting to Monica. Joey and Chandler are at the apartment of another Days of our Lives actor, who says it's for sale. At the tattoo parlour Phoebe convinces Rachel, who is worried about what Ross will think, to have her tattoo, but then chickens out herself. Monica and Richard are frustrated at not being able to tell anyone about them because it would upset Jack on his birthday. Monica furtively meets Richard in the bathroom, but she is forced to hide from Jack and Judy, who think they're alone and put on an embarrassing display. Later when Judy thinks Monica could go out with Richard's son they reveal their relationship. Joey thinks he might move out to his own apartment, but Chandler wrongly thinks he's just upset because of their argument about the spoons. Rachel has her tattoo, and luckily Ross likes it. But no-one likes Phoebe's, which is just one prick from when Rachel made Phoebe go back to the tattoo parlour. Everyone helps Joey move his stuff from Chandler's apartment.
