Carol and Susan announce to Ross that they're getting married. Monica is happy because someone fell off a mountain bike and is in a full body cast, so she can fill in as a chef. Joey's on tv for the first time, in Days of Our Lives, and he's keen to demonstrate his 'sniffing a fart' acting technique to the others. Phoebe is upset because an elderly client, Mrs Adelman, died on her massage table while Phoebe was cleansing her aura. She also thinks that Mrs Adelman's spirit went into her. Rachel's mother Sandra comes to Central Perk. She's proud of Rachel for working, something she never did, but doesn't think much of Ugly Naked Guy. Rachel is upset when Sandra says she's getting divorced. Mr Adelman comes to Central Perk to see Phoebe, who asks him if she had any unfinished business, and he says she wanted to see everything. Sandra embarrasses Rachel and Monica with talk of sex and drugs, now that she's free again. Phoebe tries to show Mrs Adelman everything by going round all the museums and shops in Manhattan. Monica needs help preparing food for the wedding, but Carol comes in and says it may be called off as her parents won't come. Ross agrees with Susan who had said that what they think doesn't matter and what's important is that they love each other. At the wedding, Phoebe finally gets free of Mrs Adelman, and Ross dances with Susan, who is grateful for what he said to Carol.
