Everyone's at the hospital with Phoebe: Joey has a video camera, and is keen to record moments that the babies can see later. Monica and Chandler turn up late and invent some flimsy excuse. Joey's in pain as well as Phoebe and she thinks it's sympathy pains. Because Phoebe's doctor fell in the shower and hit her head, the head of the department comes to see her instead, but unfortunately he's mad. "I like Fonzie", etc. Frank Jr arrives. Rachel arranges dates for her and Monica with two male nurses. Phoebe starts having strong contractions, and wants a doctor who isn't obsessed with Happy Days. Chandler hears about the nurses from Joey and tells Monica that it's fine as they're just "goofing around". Monica however had been going to get out of it. Phoebe's not impressed with her replacement doctor, and Joey is diagnosed as having kidney stones. Phoebe wants to keep one of the babies, and asks Rachel to talk to Frank about it. Monica flirts with the nurse to upset Chandler. Alice has still not arrived. Rachel reluctantly and indirectly asks Frank about the triplets. The babies are born finally: Frank Jr Jr, Leslie and Chandler (who it transpires is a girl). Alice finally arrives and puts on an embarrassing scene with Frank in the hospital waiting room. Joey is proud of his kidney stone. Chandler explains his definition of "goofing aroung" to Monica, and they make up. Phoebe has time alone with the babies before giving them to Alice and Frank.
end credits: Chandler tries to convince everyone that his is a masculine name.
