potted history of my site

I first created this site in June 1997. I didn't watch Friends avidly when it first came out, and I missed a lot of episodes of the first season, but I could see there was something great about it, so hence the site. But in creating it I was a bit stuck without the videos, because there's only so much stuff you can make up before people notice. Then on Feb 3 last year (1999) I bought seasons 1-4 in a novelty suitcase from those lovely people at Our Price. Of course my parents could have saved me some money by recording them all when I was at University. But did they? Noooooo. Anyway. Then in March I bought season 5 episode 1-12, allowing me to catch up with the Sky One broadcasts for about a week. For anyone who hasn't seen season 5, it's great. I now have 121 episodes of Friends on video, accompanied by a suitably large hole in my credit card.

changes of note:

19 July 1999: purchased Season 5 13-24. Interesting situations and unexpected appearances abound.
30 June 1999: added 100th page. I'm going to have a new "who's maddest" page.
19 June 1999: major overhaul of episode guide. every episode will eventually have an individual page.
8 June 1999: new Phoebe songs- yay! (and a few other audio clips)
25 April 1999: started work on my cunning plan for the images.
24 April 1999: moved the images round a bit and added 7 new ones.
20 April 1999: started writing synopses for each episode. I'll get through them all by about September probably.

Please, if you fill in the guestbook, leave an email address, otherwise it makes it so much harder to respond.
This site is under construction (there are huge gaps and usually rather than trying to remember episodes that I've seen long ago I just leave a gap) and always will be, eventually it will be more complete but if there's something you want now or something you don't like or you've found any broken links just tell me and I'll laugh in your face, sorry I meant to say deal with it immediately. After all I like to think I am providing a service. (It gives me comfort on dark evenings).
Tally ho!

Edward
