Joey is an actor who lives with Chandler. He got his first film role playing Al Pacino's butt, but he was fired from the set for overacting. He then got a break on TV playing Dr Drake Ramoray in Days of Our Lives, but the character was killed off because Joey claimed in a soap magazine that he wrote many of his lines. Joey has seven sisters. |

Angela is Joey's former girlfriend who walks into Central Perk in episode 1.5. Joey decides he made a mistake finishing with her so enlists Monica to help him get her back from her new boyfriend Bob. They all go to dinner and Joey points out all her faults to Bob, like the noise she makes eating chicken wings.
Sandy is a single mother who Joey meets working as one of Santa's elves in a department store. She turns up to the New Year's Eve party with her two children which puts a dampener on any romance.
Joey can't have sex with Melanie as during their relationship he is participating in a fertility study, but he follows Monica's advice to "be there for her", with unprecedented success. Melanie (who makes fruit baskets) says that Joey is not at all like she had expected him to be, and is a giver. Despite this, and the fact that the flat is swamped with fruit baskets the next day, as soon as the study is over he reverts to his old bedroom habits.
Joey is in danger of losing Annabel to The Hombre Man, a successful rival aftershave salesman in a black cowboy outfit. But when Joey is transferred to Hombre himself, he and The Hombre Man have a showdown, and The Hombre Man sprays a customer's face and leaves in disgrace, letting Joey and Annabel walk off into the sunset together. Erika falls in love with Dr Ramoray in Days of Our Lives, then pursues Joey, convinced that he actually is Dr Ramoray. Joey goes along with it and goes out with her because she's so gorgeous, but in the end when she becomes jealous of another character he decides to finish with her. But she won't be told that he's not Dr Ramoray, so Ross tells her that he's Dr Ramoray's evil twin Hans, who seduces women all over the place, and she goes off to find the real Dr Ramoray. Cathy is the director's assistant working on Outbreak 2 starring Marcel. Joey takes her to dinner because he wants a part in the movie. Some girl he meets in London who doesn't appear. Joey takes her to his hotel room where Monica and Chandler are, trying to find a private place to have sex. They have to leave and Joey watches My Giant with Felicity. |
