Judi Dench was very good, while Jim Broadbent simply cannot put a foot wrong and continues in this movie to demonstrate his incredible versatility. The direction was average, but the main problem I had with Iris was that nothing seemed to happen. I would have liked to have learned more about Iris's character, her motivations etc. This movie seemed to consist largely of Kate Winslet swimming around naked. Er... scratch what I said above. Best movie ever.
